North Dakota Child Support Information

The North Dakota Legislature passed a law that went into effect April 20, 2005 (Chapter 13-05) that severely limits the abilities of a private child support enforcement agency to work effectively for the citizens of North Dakota if they have a current child support order in place.

THE STATE OF NORTH DAKOTA TOOK AWAY THE RIGHTS OF ITS CITIZENS TO USE OTHER OPTIONS IN ORDER TO ENFORCE A CHILD SUPPORT ORDER EFFECTIVELY BASED ON THEIR POLICY.

26% of North Dakota families do not receive their current child support. Only 11% of a total of $191,664,331.001 of arrearages owed in North Dakota was collected by the ND OCSE.

THE NUMBERS SPEAK FOR THEMSELVES!

If you believe this is wrong and citizens' rights and opportunities should not be affected, write your state Senator or local Representative and request they review their policies.
