Who is in charge of enforcing a child support order?

The Nebraska Child Support Enforcement Division is a part of the Nebraska Department of Health & Human Services. Each county is serviced through their local Child Support Attorney office.

Age of Emancipation

NE Revised Statute 42-371-01 An obligor's duty to provide support terminates when the child reaches age 19, marries, the child dies or is otherwise emancipated by a court. See also Rev. Statute 43-2101.

Statute of Limitations to enforce a child support order



NE Revised Statute 45-103 indicates the rate of interest will be distributed by the State Court Administrator once it has been published by the Secretary of Treasury of the United States. See statutes for additional details.
