Who is in charge of enforcing a child support order?

The Arkansas Office of Child Support Enforcement is a division within the Arkansas Department of Finance and Administration. There are county offices located throughout the state to provide the enforcement services.

Age of Emancipation

Arkansas Code 9-14-237 Unless by court order the obligation or duty to provide support shall automatically terminate when the child reaches 18 years of age unless the child is still attending high school. If the child is still attending high school upon graduation or the end of the school year in which the child turns 19, whichever is earlier.

Statute of Limitations to enforce a child support order



Arkansas Code 9-14-233 All child support that becomes due and remains unpaid shall accrue interest at the rate of 10% per year.
